Update – July 2, 2008 – Fixed bug for scrollbar sizing and positioning. Fixed multiple Text Module error.

File Features

Full XML Website
Add as many assets as you want
Can load 4 different asset types
- Text Module (Using external XML files)
- Image Module (JPGs, GIFs and PNGs)
- Video Module (FLV)
- SWF Module (use your own SWF files)
Configuration XML file allows you to change many attributes (background color, animation speed, padding, your email address for the contact form, your logo, and footer information)
Main XML file allows you to directly add, change and delete content without having to open Flash.
Uses a PHP Contact form
Uses CSS for Text Modules
Fullscreen
Flash 8+
Actionscript 2

Hey Sambora,

You can change the fonts to whatever size or font you prefer.

Abenson doesn’t appear to come around too often, so I thought I would help.

To Burraburra, I am STILL waiting to also figure out how to change the preloader’s background from black to white. Seeing how my actual site is white, when the preloader fades out, it makes weird shapes where I have images…

Hi Abenson and all,

Love this template – having a lot of fun with it.

I’ve made a little change to the PHP script – hope you don’t mind – let me know if you feel it works a little better.

Basically, it’s just a simple replacement in the “FROM” field that just inputs the visitors email there – so when you receive it – you just have to simply click reply and it’s already setup.

Well I am trying to add some hyperlinks under the picts, and in the movies I would like to beguin with a screenshot of the first scene of the movie, so the movie don’t start on a black rectangle

burraburra- Change the color value in index.html ( var so = new SWFObject(“preview.swf”, “mymovie”, “100%”, “100%”, “8”, ”#000000”; – to the color you want.

Sambora – Yes, you’d need to change the font in the text field(s) directly in Flash to make those changes.

officechris – That feature isn’t available in this file, that would take just some minor modding.

cbooer(2) – Haven’t seen that bug of the video controls, can you send me a screenshot?

wardyworks – That’s a good idea. Considering for next release.

Draqi – Font question has been answered.

sicklif3 – Haven’t encountered that issue.

63 – Unsure about the link issue. Ensure that you can send mail on your server.

martinbej – That feature isn’t available.

branchmail – The your email address is defined in config.xml. Make sure you set that appropriately.

strk – Change the value of var nodeWidth:Number, and size your modules and assets accordingly.

This template is great, perfect. I was wondering is you could help me with the PHP form. I don’t have much expierence with PHP and I can’t get the form to work as I already have it up on the web. I changed the email address to my email in the spot where I believe it goes and I can’t get the form to work. I already have one PHP form on my site and I don’t know if it’s the problem. Your template is a link on my main website site and in it’s own folder on my server, so I don’t know what the problem is.

Hello Abenson,

one other question, is it possible to show an image or a frame or the first frame of a vflashvideo in the video module?

It is all black and empty and doesn’t attract a viewer to check video.

Placing that frame at first would make a difference.

Hello Abenson,

i figured someone else had asked my question regarding “A Thumbnail or Frame of Video for video module.” and taht it is not possible.

However, I noticed in your XML Portfolio V3.3 file, that you had it integrated.

I do not know how it would be possible for you, but i think it will be fair to have that option for the XML Portfolio V1 as well, even at an extra fee.

Okay i just purchased your site. Very cool by the way. Now, I consider myself average in flash animation, but xml is a whole other world to me. To change the text, what do i open it with? word? I tried it in Word, modified your original text, saved and replaced it, but it didnt work. What am i doing wrong?

Next question: I have images of varied widths and heights. Do i have to set those measurements to each one by one in the actionscript?

hello, i just purchased the template and have spent few hours trying to change the rollover color of red on scrollbar and also the red on buttons next and previous as well the red loader. I have read and also looked through all the xml files, fla files and for some reason it didnt change it. can you please help me change this color by telling me where it is I can change it via.
