XML Photo Gallery with Thumbnails and Big View

All of you who downloaded the file before this date please download again NEW FEATURES :
- 8 different transition effects between pictures, that you can change very easy from the xml file
- 2 different preloader types for you to choose from, from the xml (bar & circular)
- categories support (one child only), so the xml file changed a little bit
- fixed all loading problems
- flv support

FEATURES :
- jpg, bmp, gif, png, swf support
- slideshow option (cutom timer)
- autoresizable width & height (by number of columns and rows)

What can you do from the XML file
- set the title of the gallery
- set the speed of the page scrolling
- set the slideshow timer
- set the number of columns and rows (the size of the gallery)
- set an array of transitions
- set the transition speed
- select a preloader
- set the color of the thumbnail’s border
- set the color of the thumbnail’s border when selected
- set the color of the thumbnail’s text
- set the color of the “photo number” textfield
- set the color of the description textfield

All graphics are in vector format. You can easely change the file, and the code is highly commented.
TIP : the video files are under “Other stuff” category. if a video file is smaller than the size of the ‘screen’, it auto center itself

1st off, nice file. One of the best I have seen here on Flashden. My question is how to edit the AS that controls the easing on the slideshow. Thanks in advance!

@terancedubya : what do you mean by “easing” in the slideshow? i have no easing effects. I have only the fade effect on the pictures that you can edit from line 96. the pictures are fading with the onEnterFrame event. you can see this on lines 99,104,119,132,137,etc. Anyway, i will make release an update these days, that will fix a bug with the loading, and include more effects easy to use, so it will be easier to update the effects after this update. Do you have any slideshows that work for video clips? I’m looking for a sort of carousel of pictures i motion that when you click on them, they stop and play a video. (something like the slideshow on Playstation Lair website – game features tab)

@terancedubya : In “thumbnail graphics” folder you have the “thumbnail” movieclip. All changes to the thumbs you make there. To change the border change the “mcBorder” movieclip, to make it taller change the size of the “mcContent” movieclip, and move the “mcPhoto” movieclip. Play with these movieclips and you will figure it out. One other thing..if you change the size of the thumbnails you must change some AS too.. look at line 70, you will find there a simple comment for the height of the thumbnail. also at line 63 you will find a comment for the width of the thumbnail. Hope this works out for you

hi Flasher, I’ve sent an email and I haven’t got a response. But now I also have another question…I need to be able to use accents: `,Â´, Ë†,Ëœ,Ã§…but they aren’t available. I’ve tried embedding the font, but no success…can you help? I am sure it’s a simple solution, but I can’t figure it out.

@anacris : if you want to make the gallery with 3 columns just change the columns variable from the xml file. if you want to resize the gallery to 750px just resize all that you want in there. About the special characters, you need not only to embed the desired characters, but to use the equivalent ascii code in the xml file. example : &#160 is a with accent, etc..

I noticed something, when you are in the second page of a category, and you click on My Gallery to view the different categories again, the area goes black. Then you have to click on the “back” arrow to see them, as if there was a second page to My Gallery as well. Is there a way to fix that?
