This XML driven news reader/viewer has two levels, first level shows article headlines with short intro copy and thumbnail pics, second level shows full article and larger image. Articles can be added and edited using the XML file and images are loaded externally as jpegs so easy to update. Great feature on your home page.

Is there anyway to make the scrollbar only visible if it’s necessary?

Has anyone figured out if there’s a way to use the “hyperlink” feature (on the full article page” to link to a local html file, rather than link to another website? There may be an easy answer, but I’m just learning to sort my way through this kind of thing.

I bought this document and i love it but im also looking for a way to link from the full article page to external websites. I tried to figure it out but i lost the hope of figurin it out by myself. PLease tell me how i can do that because i really need to do that .

Im sorry i bought it wit a friends account cuz i didnt had paypal at the time so i asked a friend to order the file and i gave him the money he paid you. Thats why it doesnt say ive purchased

anyway I could interest you in a customization of this file? I need to use the Ultimate Scroll bar UI component for this to have it match the rest of my site. (at also has more features than the scrollbar you’re using here)

I’m having problems getting that to work, would you be willing to take a look and then give me a quote on the mod?

one last thing…. I’d suggest putting the scroll bar you have from your XML text scroller in this component, it would make it much better.

Hi, I have a question: In the main news-box, is it possible to add some custom images, or is it text only? Can I add an HTML tag to display a small additional picture in the main box?

othafish The swf file won’t affect your image quality because the images are loaded from outside the swf if that makes sense.

gene1980 images are loaded in outside the swf so just swap out the jpegs. Text is html formatted so you should be able to embedded images into the text fields by adding the html tags in the XML file.
