XML News Sroller is perfect for every user who wants to have a news section on his website.Is very easy to integrate and not flash programming skills required. You can add a title, description,and picture for every article. The description can have html links and basic html tags supported by flash You can define a “http” link for every article if needed. No limits for articles. In the code you can find 2 variables for adjusting the scrolling speed If the up or down button are pressed for long time automatically increase speed I have put comments in the code and this will help you to do further modifications. You can also change the graphics,colors and dimensions to fit for your website.

Hi! Sorry for my english. Today I buy this script but I have a problem. In italian the word friday is writed as VENERDI ’ and therefore with the final accent. The problem is that the accent ( ’ ) in the headline is not recognized and turns out like ‘&/apos;’ . How I can resolve this problem? Thanks.

I have two problems. The fonts appears to be “blurry”, and smaller than the original. I am using Flash 9, and because it is an external file, I cannot use the command “anti-alias for reading”.

There is more. I use portuguese language and I ´ve tried to insert a command for these language, on xml file and directly on a Flash. The command is: encoding=”ISO-8859-1”

It was impossible for me to solve the problem. Thanks a lot for your help.

Hi there, I just bought your XML NEWS SCROLLER V1 .0 – very nice.

Quick question – it it possible to have the news items automatically scroll to the next item after 5 seconds? That would be excellent.

And also, when the last news item is loaded, automatically go to the first news item.

Hi.

Hi, I just bought your XML news sc. , nice job. I tried to put some portuguese characters in the xml file, like Р̣ ̤ ̩ Рand so on but flash is no displaying these characters. Is there a way to make this work.

The xml file is in unicode encoding, and i tried to find the dynamic text in the fla file to embed the characters, but i had no sucess by doing so.

Hi, i am creating the xml file using php. How can i set the height and width of the images, is it possible to put the size and width on the fla file and write the size of the image in the xml file?

Hey, This looks indeed very nice and I have procured it. The problem is that I can not open the file. It seems to have a RAR extension.

I have macromedia flash 8.

Can you help me out ?

Sindrom, I’m wondering how to make a clickable url in the text of main article? I think luvpixel asked the same. I tried escaping (<;) etc and using <![CDATA[ text with link ]]> neither worked.

Hello Sindrom. I just downloaded your xml news scroller, it’s great stuff!

could you just help me to solve a problem… I want the link to load a flash movie on level 2. I tried to change the code without success.

here is the part of code I think: function linkPress(){ mc = this; getURL(links[mc.id],”_self”;); }

What sould I change to load a swf instead of a webpage adress.

Nice file – but I’m missing an option to go the first/last News instantly instead of scrolling though all items.

What if i want to start my news list with just an item ? it gave me 19 “undefined” items.
