XML MAP OF USA

XML Map of USA features:

As with the previous Canada map, this map has been made so that the user must first select one of USA ’s states, before a second option is proposed. This second option is disabled until the user has selected a state. However the user can still select a different state before choosing the second option, if he clicked on the wrong one for example.

Each button “option 1” and “option 2”, have their own URL loaded from XML , to which the corresponding 2 letters from the state selected will be added, like this:

http//:wwwyoururl.com/AK

Where the “http//:www.yoururl.com/” part is loaded from XML and the “AK” (for Alaska) part added in flash.

You can literally change almost every parameter in the XML file and there is only 1 node to make it easier. Apart from the text inside each province (e.g. AK for Alaska etc…, you can change all the other text via the XML file. You can also change every single color parameter for each state (e.g. disabled, over and selected colors) for every single object in the movie.

The drop shadow parameters can easily be changed in flash.
