XML Flash Gallery V2

Updated version of the basic and light XML driven flash gallery with random thumbnails position upon loaded.

What’s new:

version 2.6 | reuploaded 26 July 08:
– Fixed a few bugs/AS restructured;
– Gallery title added
– Dynamic thumbnails dimensions
– Updateable thumbnail distance – more control
– On/after thumbnail pressed, use mousewheel to rotate
– Press SPACE bar to randomize.

version 2:
– Bottom Navigation for easy image selection. Scrolling if exceded the stage width.
– Previous/Next image function (LEFT/RIGHT KeyDown)
– Better and larger thumbnail quality. Blurred when selected image enlarged.
– Fixed a few bugs.

Requirements:
– Basic XML and Actionscript 2.0 understanding
– Flash 8

Excellent gallery!

I’m loading the SWF into my document, but don’t want it to fill the stage. Which elements will I need to amend to fix the height and width to constrain the thumbnails?

Also the file I’m loading the SWF into uses AS3 – I guess you don’t have an AS3 version of the Gallery to help with compatibility?

reefingers: You can delete the “title” text from the imgHolder movieclip.

nzimeswf: you can load the gallery as external movieclip(swf) and make sure the defaultStage dimension from the stage_as layer is set to your spec. Sorry at the moment I do not support AS3 .

Hi Jimi I want to purchase your gallery. I liked it.

Please tell me: - It is possible to move the button navigation, up or down? In my site, I have 2 bars like widescreen (1 up and 1 down), and the view space is less than your space. So, I think that I need to move the bottom navigation over the down bar. Or - It is possible to remove the bottom navigation?

- How can I do to add some effects like brigth or fade to all the pics?

- Is your archive updated?

- Im a beginner with Flash CS3 AS2

to luga: with a little bit of tweaking, yes its possible to move the buton up or down. It will be possible to remove te bottom navigation, but it will be harder for the users to navigate the gallery. For your other questions, I’m a little confused.
- How can I do to add some effects like brigth or fade to all the pics?
Are you saying how I made the thumbs blur? Here im using the blur filter
- Is your archive updated?
by archive did you mean its library? please elaborate
- Im a beginner with Flash CS3 AS2
Only if you want to enhance the gallery further, AS2 knowledge is compulsory. But if you need explaining on my codes, will be glad to help

Is your work in Action Script 2 ? Im using flash CS3 AS2 .

Effects. The blur effect in the thumbs is great. I mean, when the big pics are loaded… Can I do fade in or flash or brigth effect for all my pics?

luga: yes you can just replace the file. But be sure to backup you old file first… just incase. To setup, please check out the config layer.

I was looking to purchase this file. First I was wondering if you can position the photos where ever you want when the swf loads? How are the positions of the photos set. Is it by using xy coordinates? Thanks in advance.
