VIDEO PLAYER CONSOLE AS3 CLASS V2

Features
This is a complete solution of a Video Player Console using an independent AS3 class (.as file). Loads video paths from different URLs or local flv files. It’s very simple to update the videos and professional looking. Using an .as file allows the costumizing of the video console design without having the need to interacte with the actionscript code. It also defines, automatically, the objects you need to use in the stage.

is it possible for you to send me the files for this as I have already purchased version 2, except this version locks the ratio of the video so it doesn’t get stretched whereas the one I purchased didn’t?

Posted 9 months ago

Hi CarlsonCommunicat,

Please send us your email so we can send you the renewed version.

Allowing or not that the video get stretched is a common doubt that we have when we develop this kind of application. Until now we always make the video to fit the screen and of course, we didn’t manage to secure total control of his quality. So, that is the main reason why we did it like this.

Please tell us what you think.

Yea I agree maintaining the aspect ratio and keeping the quality is a better way to go. Great file though, and much appreciative of sending the new version. The email is justin@carlcomm.com

Is it possible to click-hide/click-show the controllers?

Posted 5 months ago

Can you please send me Flash 8 version…I didn’t notice this is for Flash 9..I don’t own Flash CS3 …

send to: jose@tbln.com

Better now than never. Sorry for the late response.

Hi cezaryg. It is possible to click-hide/click-show the controllers instead of out-hide/over-show. If you have knowledge in basic AS3 you will be able to do it with no problems.

Hi jemworks. This application was developed in AS3 so the file only runs with CS3 version. Sorry mate.

would it be easy to make it scale proportionally, thus filling the entire screen?

Posted about 1 month ago

Hi williamravn
It is proportionally on fullscreen depending if the video is horizontal or vertical. It’s not a question if it’s easy or not. It was just a choice for this one.

Posted about 1 month ago

okay, I figured out how to do it myself.

But the video seems to run very slow on higher resolutions(1680×1050)

Same thing with the preview here on flashden. Any fix for this?

Posted about 1 month ago

Hi williamravn
This player can run videos on any resolution. Could you show me a preview of this lack of performance?

Posted about 1 month ago

Interesting and cool. I might be able to use this for two sites we’re working on, one is a green screen rental studio in LA and the other designs web commercials

Actually, typed in the link for the second site wrong, but it’s for a web commercial production company.

If anyone wants to use this file for their site, but doesn’t have the video to use it, they could probably help you out creating a high end web commercial for your site with this flash design.
