Best templates I have purchased… NOTE : In all of tthe XML gallery files you will need to uncapitalize the word images (as the path will have problems when you load the site up to the web using Linux system and other operating systems ... small thing that may not show up in your Dreamweaver or other web design programs, but will be an issue on the web.

Other than this, I have bought many templates on FlashDen… Rob’s work is by far the easiest template to build site in.

cthaele-No the navigation isen’t controlled by xml, but the image gallery is.

madrass-Yes it can, currently the gallery xml isen’t set up with that option, but I can customize it for you to do that, I’ll email you a quote.

lhutchin-Yes you can load .swf, just change the path in the xml to .swf instead of .jpg

best template ever! thank you! i’ve only had one problem, but i’m sure it’s because i’m a newbie…the gallery…for reference go to kylaisaphotographer . com

if you go to the PORTFOLIO link, i renamed my galleries, so i know where that is…my problem as you can see is the load…my cursor changes, so i know it’s a link…i’m not that familiar with action scripts, but I looked in Sprite45 and i only see stop(); Text464 has nothing for an AS

I look in the intro movie clip and the AS for frame 1 says

//Loads first gallery //loadGallery.loadMovie(“gallery1.swf”;);

i have no clue what i’m doing wrong. I went back to the original file and dropped my images into the gallery folder and it works fine there…please help me and i’ll luv ya forever!

forgot to mention, i have not changed the gallery names or the XML names…and XML files are in original folder called XML

kdall070-Did you fix it? looks fine to me. You might want to optimize your images in each gallery somewhat, so they load faster. Really nice site btw.

kdall070-I see what you mean, Gallery 6, 7, 8 arent loading. When this happens its usually because of a path getting broken somewhere, double check all of your image names and make sure they are correct in the xml. The first few galleries load fine so its obviously a broken path.

sorry! i got it fixed…when i deleted the main girl out of the portfolio page and inserted my own, i accidentally deleted the link as well…but it is fixed…thanks for getting back to me…btw, you template is super easy to work through! thanks!

Hi Robwes19,

I purchased your template #10883 in November and I’m having the same problem as Mal posted six months ago.

I want the music to be automatically paused on loading and not start unless the user selects the play button.

I’m a total noob and have been successful in doing most of what I want with this template but this function has eluded me.

To answer my own question above,

In case anyone else wants the default sound off, look for the term loadSound in the mp3.fla and change it from True to False.

I have to reduce the scroll speed of the gallery of the pictures , I noticed that the more photos I have, the faster is goes.

how can i do that?

the ideia is to mantain the speed no matter the amount of pictures .

Hi, Im new in this matter… please have patience I want to do a few things

1 Keep the images… have you the rights of the image woman? 2 I need to ad video to the 1 or 2 gallerys… I dont have any idea how. I was change in the xml … the jpg for .swf, but Im doing some thing wrong… Help me by steps please!! Thankssssss!!!

hi I am VERY interested in this template, and have a couple of questions.

1. Can the home/landing page be customized (so it doesnt say “about me”;) with XML ?

2. Can the same section have a swf/flv slideshow inserted instead of a single image? I want a slideshow (without thubnails like the other galleries) that just scrolls a few of my better images from all galleries when customer comes to my page and hasnt decided where to navigate yet.

3.Can the RH side nav menu be made bigger or floated into the blank/negative space on the right of the site (without being a flash cs3 master!)?

Excellent template, robwes19!

In the gallery, I load a swf that has sound. How do I turn the MP3 Player sound off when I enter the gallery, and turn the Player sound back on when I exit the gallery? I barely know AS2 . I think it should be
  • _root.player.mySound.stop();* but that doesn’t do anything. TIA .

found it, it’s _root.topright.player.mySound.stop(); Kludgey, but it works for me.

Hi There!

First, love the template! I have purchased it & put a mock up for my client. However, it displays differently on his PC monitors than on my Mac. On his computer, the site is stretched and the bottom is cut off without the ability to scroll. Here is the link to the ‘work in progress’ ... what am I doing wrong and how can I make sure that all monitors can see all the content without having to scroll? Thanks in advance!

Can the header be changed to include/upload a LOGO ?

Also, can the menu be placed up in the header, horizontally, over where the mp3 player is?

Is is easy to create a text link for a restaurant’s menu? I don’t see any “external” links in the example.

bbarcia-Inside each “gallery1-8.fla click inside the “Gallery” movieclip, click on the Actions layer on the second frame, open your Actions panel and go to line 32. Increase the value 125, this will slow the scroll speed.
