04 Jan 2008 – Update to V1.3 – Now featuring:
- Slideshow option. Play/pause, previous and next buttons;
- Fullscreen option;
- No need to input image dimensions on XML file. Easier to implement;
- HTML file to embed properly included;
- New buttons, 2 minor bugs cleared and a few small improvments;

Previous version text:
XML powered gallery absolutelly resizable with category selection, zoom and image panning. Major features:
- Category buttons, thumbnails, images, descriptions and tooltips obtained from a XML file;
- Using FLASH 8 bitmap data to display images. This makes images look much better when they are resized;
- Zoom options: fit screen, 50%, 100%, 200% and 300% of image size;
- Tooltips when mouse is over a thumbnail;
- 100% resizable;
- Menu on the right to display any information. This means that you may use this file as a template to display images;
- Published size: 19kb;

It requires free Tweening Prototypes that you can get at http://laco.wz.cz

Great app!

Requesting some tweaks.. please advise if possible.

- Long category name handling.. ( currently it cuts off ) - Scroll bar in category list ( if list has lots of categories ) - QTY in each gallery ( just show count to the left of name ) - Toggle movement animation on off - Caption and/or file metadata view ( blend in / out )

  • Any chance of making a compare image app? Would buy it instantly..

Hi Charlie, i wrote you a question a couple of weeks ago in flashden forum. I wanted you to know that I solved the problem successfully. I just changed the link method of Saafi’s project to your link method. I replaced this couple of lines in Saafi’s project:

import com.mosesSupposes.fuse.*; ZigoEngine.simpleSetup(PennerEasing, Shortcuts);”

For your link method:

include “lmc_tween.as”.

Also I had to copy the FuseKit2.1 file to my project folder, and it solved the problem.

Hi Charlie, I work a lot with the gallery, it’s super! I want to know if I cant set a specific area to ” image.onEnterFrame = function() ” . I don’t want the image moving went the mouse if over the thumbails o something else. Thanks!

Hi Charlie! Your ultimate gallery is fantastic. I’m using your gallery viewer for a photographer site but I need to create two categories on the left menu for loading swf files (about section, and contact section)… Could you please let me know how do I change my xml file to load swf files? In a thread I read that the only easy thing to do is to change the jpg name for the swf file name. But it doesn’t work. Thanks for your help. Nicomad

Hi Charlie, I was wondering where I would change the code to allow movement on the image or a mc instead of the entire stage.

@ untitled – I’m not sure what you need. Can you be more specific? I mean the image is moving, but not the entire stage…

Hey, I have an image that is 2888px in width – this scrolls/adjust to the stage accordingly when the mouse moves form the left to right.

The problem is when the image is more than 3000px or in my case its 3687px, then the image doesn’t move all the way to the end of the image (the right side)

Where can I change the code so it accommodates images larger then 3000 px.

Hey… I purchased this and I am not happy. The fla project can´t be altered… I wan´t the true fla project. I just wanted to have just one menu and personalize the arrows, and with this I can´t. Please… This product is not so cheap…

Pleas help me. I wan´t the real fla.
