Tiled Background

Included in this file is a tiled background with a background picker and one without. Both are resizeable on the fly and work just like an html tiled background. It’s easy to modify the background. Your tiles can be vector, raster, animation and even transparent. Just modify the clip in the library. No need to define the size in the actionscript. It will do that for you. Only 3kb with the picker and 1kb without.

can this file be used over a fullscreen? (30 inch monitor) i have tried a similar file but the AS timed out when using it fullscren, if u can confirm that this file will work quickly and efficiently over a fullscreen then u got a sale

Good question. I don’t have a 30 inch monitor to test it on. Here is a link to a full screen version: http://utahmovingads.com/istock/tiledBgPicker.html

It seems to work fine at 1920×1200 except the animated one. It looks a little choppy. It’s is dependent on the size of the individual tile. The bigger the individual tile the smoother it will be.

its very nice.. note the animation is not as smooth on very high resolution (1920×1200 here). +wishlist tho, cheers

Is it possible to get a larger tile, or even a tile that would adjust to abnormal dimensions such as 65×130 px?

I bought it to play and I would really like some help if possible.

I just tried replacing the star in center with vector outline of wine bottle. I realize I don’t know what format to save the file in. Is it a png? Please forgive beginner questions. I also looked at your original bg which appears to be 25 pixels square. Is that correct?

I am just not sure how to replace your object with mine.

Thanks for anyone’s help. I realize this is a real newbie question.

No problem, just replace the image in the library with one of any size. Put it in the same library movie clip so you don’t have to mess with linkage. Png, jpg, vector are all fine.
