The Looking Glass (V4) Looped & Linked XML Image Gallery

A simple, easy-to-use, and unique XML image gallery that fits all window sizes. You can have as many images as you want. Images scroll from left to right looped and continuously. On rollover, the images quick-zoom into the center and show descriptions. On click, it will link out. All controlled by a simple XML file. In the XML , you can change the width and height of the images, the descriptions, and where the mouse click will link out to, as well as the target of the link.

Note: Images can be any size you wish, but all the images in the file must be the same size (otherwise, they will just be cropped). You set the size of your images in the XML .

can it load a external swf or go to a different frame of the flash site?

WOW great work

Thanks.

It can load swf – all AS3 can because its handled with the same loader as images, but I do not provide any free support for it.

I bough your transition and Im having a real hard time working it. For startees I dont see the caurina (open source files) folder – stated in the instruction txt as files within the zip folder. Also when I hit the index file nothing loads up. Am I doing something wrong.

Posted 23 days ago

Arzand, that is very strange – the caurina folder and files are included in the zip. The fact that you are missing the caurina folder will be the reason that the index file isn’t working. Please try to redownload the file and email if this still happens – I’ll just email you the file. If anyone else is experiencing this problem, let me know and I will contact FlashDen about it. Thanks.

I bought this. It’s good.

But I wish you would make the location of the gallery and the name of the xml file (now gallery.xml) controllable through vars in the object/embed code.

It would be so much easier to integrate into a dynamic web site if you made this small change.

(I know I could change this using the source code but still… having these two variables controllable on an html page would be very convenient.)

Thanks for your attention.

Is it possible to setup iFrame target ?

Posted 8 days ago

Thanks albooth, I’ll keep that in mind.

dorota, that feature is done through HTML ; but yes, it is possible. Please enquire by email if you have any more questions.

You do not understand me.

iFrame command has to be in the AS2 /AS3, not in the HTML . I need to open iFrame from swf Flash file.

Ok. I will buy it, if you will show me html code, that will open iFrame when I will click your scrolling banner :)

dorota, then don’t buy it; I am a Flash expert, not an HTML expert

I know zero about Flash and thats why I am asking you. How do you set up the navigation ? Is it simple using XML or do I have to code Action Script for setting up url targets ?

Is it SEO friendly ?
