Instructions:

1. Replace the pictures(1-4.jpg) with your own product images. Make sure you name the pics the same things. i.e. 1.jpg, 2.jpg, etc.

2. Upload all files to THE ROOT FOLDER of your server.

i.e. Usually it’s “yoursite.com/_“

Compelo: You can easily load 4 .swf files and simply include an intro animation in each file.

This is very cool! How dynamic is it? Can I make the buttons on the bottom XML loaded thumbnails of the larger image, and can I add more buttons?

I have another file with thumbnail images in the que right now, and it is quite challenging to add this functionality.

Also, adding more buttons requires a pretty in depth understanding of Action Scrip & frame work.

Mainly because of how complex this file is.

It features auto play/loop on the time line & loads each image or .swf on specified frames in the main time line.

Thanks for the update FlashCart. I’m very fluent in Actionscript, but don’t always have the time to build things from scratch, so your file could be very appealing to me. But also I think it would enhance your sales to make it more dynamic and have thumbnails, IMHO .

Exactly, That’s why I have got one XML thumbnail version Slideshow in the que, and I just added one Full XML Site with HomePage XML Thumbnail Slideshow in the que.

I like to make files for everyone, not only those who prefer XML , and yet I have made many new XML files for those that do.

hi,

great little xml script!

one question, how can you make it automatically NOT play the files? (e.g. doesn’t slide through the images when script is loaded) -

if so, how can i amend this?

Thanks for rating and purchasing.

Add this code to the first line of the “XML ACTIONS ” Layer:

onLoad = function(){ stop(); }

Also, make sure the play button is above the pause button. by selecting the pause button on the “Play | Pause” layer & pressing [CNTRL + Dwn Arrow Key]

Finally, you select the play button and open the actions panel and add the following code to line 4:

playbtn._visible = false;

apologies, im not sure how you do this.

i’ve downloaded the files and am using them fine. im using the files uploaded on an ftp surfer, so i can edit them. i have the following files:

pics.xml preview.fla preview.swf swfobject.js

which do i go to to edit? might have to be a bit clearer as im not highly knowledable with flash!!

also in addition, i have a lot of white space at the top and bottom on the slider, is there any way of getting rid of this?

lastly, how do i add more thumbnail boxes for more images?

Wow, so many questions.

Let me answer a few of them.

The .fla is the source file for the slideshow.

To change the space around the file, you can simply embed the file in an html that is not Full Screen.

This is very easy with dreamweaver or any html editor software.

It is extremely challenging to add more images as this file is quite complex in nature.

It would require complex action script coding knowledge.

It looks like you are doing just fine however as I see you have added your own images & everything is running smoothly.
