TEXTFIELD WITH EASING ON SCROLLING AND MOUSEWHEEL SCROLLING SUPPORT - AS3

HomeBrowse CategoriesFlashAnimationsMouse ControlledTextfield with easing on scrolling and mousewheel scrolling support - AS3
Full_screen_preview

This is a simple little file – but with some important features that many use.

- The text is loaded from a xml document – which is easy to update and understand.

- The scrolling speed is easy to adjust – so is the size if the text area (done with variables in the Flash code).

- All graphics are inside movieclips – easy to update and change.

- The bonus feature in this file is the support for mousewheel scrolling – on both mac and pc!

- The speed of the mouseweel scrolling is also easy to adjust.

The file is very easy to understand and adjust – and so is the xml file included.

It is optimized so even extremely large textfields will scroll perfect.

Have fun :-)

Hello,

It’s possible to add pictures or only text

Posted 3 months ago

This loads the content from xml and puts it into templates in the Flash. If you want pictures – that is definitely possible but not currently build into the file.

This is a very cool and valuable file for those of us collecting AS3 files and making the jump.

Can I be so bold as to point out that your presentation of this file could have been a lot better.

The colors are not very tasteful and the scroller is stuck over on the top left corner. I think you would sell more if you worked on that a little.

Thanks for including the mouse scroll for Mac. This is often left out by PC centric people. Nice to see more AS3 files becoming available.

Hehe I know it’s a bit ugly – but for now I just wanted the file to work – people shouldn’t copy paste the file anyway – but you’re absolutely right :-)
