Stardust Menu

A unique menu with dynamic, pixel-perfect buttons, which are given a shine effect and an entirely ActionScript-animated stardust effect. All the user has to do is fill in the titles that will appear inside the buttons at an array in the first frame and where on the stage it is placed; so easy!

User can change many things in this file just by changing a variable – all of which are pointed out clearly and firstly in the code. These include: – Changing the spacing between the buttons – Changing the speed of the shine effect – Changing the number of balls in the stardust effect – Changing the speed of the fading in and out (alpha) of the balls – Changing the speed (x, y) of the balls – Changing the scale (scaleX, scaleY) of the balls

AS3 .

All necessary code is commented.

Nice job, but I have no idea what to do with the actionscript. How do you import them into the fla? The file won’t work without them.

mjs82: The actionscript? Import them? You don’t need to import everything. If you are referring to the caurina folder and AS files, you don’t have to change or do anything, just make sure that you keep the caurina folder in the same directory as your swf.

Hey Christian, Good note about being a CS3 File. Too Bad I didn’t read this last statement here at the bottom before the purchase. (humph!) Because I am on a Duel G5 system, (not pentium based) CS3 won’t run on it. Well, hey look, Adobe has CS4 coming up in a few weeks. See where I can finally use this file.
