This is a starter template for those who know a good bit about Flash who are wanting something a little different. Contains lots of Actionscript treats that you’ll find useful for all kinds of things. Had fun making it.

Image is a photoshopped version of photograph taken by NASA of a nebula. Just in case you’re wondering, the image is safe to use: http://www.nasa.gov/multimedia/guidelines/index.html
My Templates
Cool effect dude, easy to use. But maybe someone should tell flashden that it shouldn’t be advertised the way it is “CS3 + AS2 ” kind of sounds like you are offering 2 versions of the movie in AS3 and AS2 , I’ll keep the example for fun but can’t use it for anything in new development involving AS 3 , too many errors making both of them work together. If you do develop a AS3 version let me know.

I agree. I have updated the description to help avoid confusion. AS3 is another ladder among many that I need to climb. 
I LOVE IT ! Either, I’ve gotten better at Flash, or this was really easy to use. But I’ve seriously doubt that I got better at Flash overnight. Thank you, it’s great. It’s that whole scifi feel.
The fading in and out is also a bonus. The switching around like you’re flying the the the universe is really what I liked the most.
That’s all I have to say: Pretty to look at and easy to use.

Great File! Have a question for ya though. I want to place the background, actionscript and menu within a movieclip that will then reside on the _root. The problem I’m running into is that once I place them into another movieclip (stage_mc), the function doesn’t work. The fade in function works, but not the bgmove function. Can you please shed some light???

If all you’re doing is moving the background into another movie clip, just make sure that you have the paths/names correct and it should work the same.

Very grateful to see so many AS2 and Flash 8 files on Flashden for those of us who have invested what we could before CS3 /AS3.

I can’t figure out how to change the text in the nav bar. Is there a way change the text on the buttons? I’d rather not redesign a new one.

The text is in a locked layer. Click the unlock icon to edit the layer contents.

I would like to purchase this temp but like another I would like to not have the bg be confined to the box. I would like to have the moveable bg automatically fill to the size of the window. Is it possible to buy a version like this?

Great template. I’m trying to use it for a resume site. Is there a way to get rid of the blur on the photo? This is my first time using flash so sorry if this is an easy fix.

Bug found?... When I click “work” and click on a thumbnail, I get a full sized photo, but when I click another link at the top, the photo stays there and covers up the next page that loads. Then I have to manually close the photo to see the content of the new page.
Other than that, this is very cool!!!

Hello, I have loved your product, but i have some doubts, I have already observed that changing the background-image is very sipmle, but I haven’t sill understood where I can change the position of the movement and also if I can addict new movements or bottoms. I’m still starting on the Action Script, could you help me?

After a lot of work my website is very cool now, www.setordelta.com – Anyway, i noticed that there is some movieclips that were supposed to be in the background of the button, why they’re not being used?

abenson i dont like you not supporting this file. I’ll not buy anything from you anymore, and i guess a lot of people wont too because you just dont give support. Very well i created my own button www.setordelta.com im just working on the fade out… Very good template, shame on the support…

Except where explicitly stated this file is entirely the work of abenson. The author has indicated that any images / sounds / video / flash used which are not the author's work have been appropriately licensed for resale.
Think this file has infringed someone else's copyright?
