Nice snow…but I think LuizZak meant that the animation is crawling because our CPUs are choking on the massive data you have going on. Here are some suggestions for getting this working smooth…
(1) there is no need for your snowflakes to be so complex…looks like you made them from multiple shapes (with gradients, too!)...a simple irregular circle will do…and make sure you Optimize the shape as well.
(2) or, if it must be complex, use Bitmap Caching on the snowflake mc…either from the Properties panel or using ActionScript.
(3) can you make some flakes closer to the bg color instead of adjusting their Alpha?...Alpha is hard on the system.
(4) if you’re using ActionScript to move these flakes, consider using Tweener (or another tween engine/class allowed by FD)...moving that many objects with the Flash Tween class is just not recommended.
(5) if you’re NOT using ActionScript to move these flakes, just forget the whole thing
