i have a question first of buy your file….. but if i have not a flash file big like teh html page but smaller? will the preloader work fullscreen?? THANKS

great preloader…
But the percentage loader does not function when dragged on the stage (I’ve named it percent_mc).
Can you fix this bug?

It’s not a bug my friend.
You’re doing something wrong.
You shouldn’t rename the clip because if you notice that there’s a layer called “Actions” above the preloader layer. You’ll need that too. It’s not drag & drop MC, sorry. It’s more efficient to have all your code in an Actions layer vs. actions placed on a MC.

the percentageloader is revered to as percent_mc in the as. And of course I’ve looked in the frame containing the as (how els can i modify things). The dynamic text field inside percent_mc is called percent_text, but in the as there is no line of code where percent_text is mentioned… (only percentData is mentioned).
So if it’s not a bug… please provide me with the stageidentifier for the percentloader… than everything should work fine, Wright?

the following line of code is missing in your file…
percent_mc.percent_txt.text = percentData + ”%”; (or a similar line of code needs to be added to get the percentage_mc to work)
Sounds like a bug to me…

This preloader doesn’t have a percentage text field since it takes away from the simplicity of the file. But i did include the actionscript that allows you to make one out of it.
Email me your file and I can put a percentage text field in there for you.

The mc for the percentage loader is already included in your file. I’ve fixed the AS yesterday… (it wasn’t difficult, I just didn’t have the time to do it due to a deadline) But thanx any way.
And for the record I must mention that your file works excellent and is well documented! So no harm done there

I have just purchased the file and I’d Like to modify the preloader to use it with a small MP3 streaming player.
Is it possible to use the progressbar for displaying the sound-position of the mp3 ?
I am a beginner on Flash. May be you can help me. Thanks for advance !

Hi. I purchased this earlier and placed it in my flash file as the directions said. The preloader actionscript and preloader mc layers are on the 1st frame of the main stage. My mcs don’t start tell frame 5. So I’m wondering why the content appears already loaded then when I test the movie. In other words, the full line appears and then fades away. How can I fix this? Thank you.

Hi Abenson, I placed your loader in my Flash file and it works great! One question, I later placed the Flash file into a Dreamweaver document with nothing else in it. Now when I view it in the browser, the loader starts at the far left of the Flash file as opose to the browser window. Is there a way I can make it start from the far left of the browser window like intended? Anybody? I’m completely new at this. Thanks!
