shoutBox Deluxe | based on flat text file

FonZ

This shoutBox is based on PHP in combination with a flat text file, so you don’t need a database on your server to run it. The shoutBox always resides on the bottom of the screen no matter what. By default it is hidden except for the button to open it, but you can change this setting if you like.

You can adjust all text and text color in the application with the setup text file, so even without any knowledge of flash you can still use the shoutBox and adapt it to your website.

Comes with a random character check to avoid script spammers and whatnot.

Communicate with your visitors in the easiest way and let them tell you how great you are…

I don’t know that template, but this file is transparant and resides in a div that’s on top of your site, so you do not integrate it into flash, just into the HTML part.

Left sided is no problem. Takes me about 2 mins to fix, tho I’m going off now.

hey fonz i just bought this file and am trying to put it in a all flash site i made, but for some reason it wont show up over my flash site. I know its not a problem with the coding because i used the same code on a html site and it worked fine. im going to email you a zip of my website see if you can figure it out

How can I change the width of the textfield that loads the shouts? My shoutbox is less wide and now text falls of on the right side.

Never mind. The solution is to set the width yourself just above the line about autoSize. In my case it’s 180:

//adjust the clip to match the data canvas[“data”+count].txt._width = 180; canvas[“data”+count].txt.autoSize = “left”;
