Hi there… I downloaded the file but am having a problem replicating the effect. It works once… which is awesome… thank you! But when I need to apply the effect again only one works. Any idea what I can do?
Thanks,
Patty

Hi Patty, Thanks for purchasing my file.
Just replace “_root” with “this” each time it appears in the actionscript. To get to the actionscript open “scratchMe_mc” from the library and then click once on the image on the screen and go to your actions panel. You will need to edit lines 7, 8, 13, 14 and 16.

desiben, that file is similar, but my file has several advantages. The code is commented, it shows you how to load the images from external files rather than having them in the flash file if you want to, You can also have multiple instances of this in one file easily and you can just drag and drop it into your file.

yes, you can change both the image underneath and the image on top to whatever you like.

Hi, great file.
I will be using it for a flashbanner. How do i make the underneath clickable, so that you can only click it when you have scratched/removed the top layer?
Hope you can help
G’day Nellie!
I was looking at the code of your scratch-a-kitty flash file. I have been trying to figure out if it is possible to the orange layer fade gradually. If you click once the piece of the cat is that the cursor hovers on is visible 100%. I was wondering if it would be possible to have the layer dissapear gradually (alpha 30%?) after a mouse click to get a more realistic scratch feel to it?
Anywho, nice file…
