Resizable Gallery

OXYLUS

This is a resizable gallery.
Features:
– Unlimited number of thumbnails
– Image quality and aspect ratio are preserved
– Right click on the image to save it to your computer
– Thumbs scroll with motion blur
– The gallery is automatically resized to fit the window
– Can receive variables via flashvars for setting a xml file (the variable is “xml” )
– Set current selected thumbnail by setting the “selected” attribute to “true” in the xml file. The Thumb are scrolled so the current selected thumb will be visible and aligned to center if possible.
– Text change animation
– Easy to customize; just edit the Library symbols wich are grouped in sugestive named folders
– Thumbs scrolling respondes well to the mouse position; you don’t have to go all the way to the sides to see the first or last thumbnail.
– Hold SPACE to disable the thumbs scrolling

I am trying to use 160px wide thumbnails but they appear 100px wide… I have widened the thumbnail movie clip in the library but the thumbnails are still coming up as 100px wide. Any advice?

Is there a way to slowdown the horizontal scrolling speed of the thumbnails? On smaller monitors they are awfully fast.

Yes, Open TScroller.as file and find the method named “moveToPos” (it should be at the bottom of the code). Inside this function find the line that looks like: thumbs._x += (tox-thumbs._x)/6;

Now, you should alter the 6 value. A lower value means higher speed, a higher value means a lower speed.

How i make to use this xml nodes in this gallery:

Because i buyed the XML EDITOR , and to work fine… i need to change the nodes.

With this gallery, I wonder if it is possible to have a movie with three scenes in, and have the gallery on each scene. I have duplicated the scenes and created a separate xml page for each scene and changed the Actions of each scene to reference the respective xml file. But it does not work. Each scene reads from the xml file that is linked to scene 1.

Fantastic work Adrian and I’ll email you for that version with next / previous buttons in it. Just one question, is there is some way I can have the thumbnails scrolling across the screen without any interaction from the mouse, as in a constant loop which obviously slows when I place the mouse over the thumbnails?

I need help customizing the description for the Gallery.

I like to make the description title for the image bold, add a line break after that and add a hyperlink text that’s blue. When I write in the XML to customize it, it displays the code as if it is part of the description, please help?
