I never got an answer on the other version page, so I’ll ask it again here :P

How random are the videos? Does it play a playlist at random, or does it play all the playlist in a random order until all the playlist is finished?

Example: Say you have 10 vids on your playlist, would the player play for example videos #2, 4, 7, 2 (playing vid 2 twice before the remaining playlist was played).

The main reason I ask, is simply because (by going on the above example) if a video was played twice from the playlist before the entire playlist was played at random it wouldn’t really work for what I have in mind.

BossMayne: Yes.

Amiga: This version plays completely at random & does not ensure it goes through all the videos once randomly before playing one it has already loaded.

Can it be set to autoplay FLVs rather than pause? Can it play an FLV first before a “commercial?” Is there a way to see a copy of the XML ?

I work for a concert venue, and I’m trying to find a way of playing random video promos for concerts. If a new concert was announced at Noon on a Friday, could that be put in the XML prior, or would I manually have to change it at noon on Friday?

Hi,

Yes, it can be changed to autoplay very easily by opening the Flash File & opening the main movie clip it is self-contained in.

Then, simply select the “flvPlayer” movie clip on the “flvPlayer” layer and open the properties panel.

In the properties panel there is a list of options you can set.

AutoPlay is among these options.

In the xml, there is one node for each video to specify the flv location.

e.g. “1.flv” kind of thing.

Lastly, each video will begin being displayed as they are published to the folder containing the flv files & the XML file is updated.
