This is an .flv file embedded in an .swf that simulates rain. Simply copy/paste the rain .flv into your own movie to add a very realistic rain effect. Also includes a rain sound file.

Thanks for purchasing the file! As per the requirements on the right-hand-side of this page, you need Flash 8+ in order for this file to work as it’s using a blend mode. To specifically answer your question, in Flash 8+, you select the rain video on the stage (the item you are referring to with the black background), then view the properties window, typically located at the bottom of the Flash application. There is an option here with a dropdown menu called “Blend”. Change the dropdown menu to “Screen” and the black background disappears and the rain appears. : ) Hope this helps!

By the way, if you do not have Flash8+, download the 30-day trial, free of charge, from www.adobe.com. : )

Nice effect for a still images. However, does not play well with other tweened objects.
