    So would this work with your MAGAZINE STYLE FLIP BOOK ? Would it bring up the window where I can choose the page range?

    Actually regarding my second question, I see it opens on PC but not on a MAC .

    I’m sorry robwes19, I just want to be sure beofre I purchase. I notice it opens the Print window on a PC but not on a MAC . Instead it opens the Page Setup window. How can we access the Print window on a MAC ? Thanks

    a print dialog box did open for me on both MAC and PC – and i was able to select printer preferences and print to a printer and to a file, but i would also like to know if it will let me insert pdf’s as my document to be printed.

    Basically you format your layout in the preforamtted movieclip.
    So if you want to print a pdf just import it into the movie clip.
    Miquael says it opens on his mac so I assume theres no problem there.
    To print from the flip book duplicate the layout for the page/s you want printable inside the preformatted movieclip


    The purpose of this button is to give you complete control of the look and content that gets printed, which you don’t have if a user prints directly from there browser.

    Yea, I realized Mac opens Page Setup first and then the Print window. Thanks. But would this be able to see for example, your Magazine Style FlipBook as individual pages? Or to go a step further, how about swf files being loaded into the clip via XML ?

    Gordita-no it won’t do that.

    peforever-thats actually what I originally built it for. Users were selecting options which were dynamically updating in the print clip, so you can definitely program that, maybe for V2.

    you told me that I could put a pdf and you can’t even import a pdf in flash so what can I do know. could you make it work via xml?

    Following your explanation is it possible to create a input text field inside the printable area for a user to input text and then have the ability to print the file while capturing the user entered text in the printout?

    It’s a useful tool, but some time, it print the printClip at wrong size, the size of the layout that you can see on screen, and not a 8.5×11 page, can you help ?

    I see in the description that the movie clip is “pre-formatted”. Does this mean that it needs to retain the scale it is at now? It’s rather small now, can I scale it up or will this affect it’s size when it is printed out?

    Also I see the option to print portrait or landscape. I’m assuming this means I can choose this from the printer prompt, right? This isn’t some special functionality that you have built into the script anywhere, is it? If so I must be missing it.
