Page Resizing

To adjust page size you will have to adjust a few movie clips. All can be found in your library. Here are some tips on what to do.

1. “Spread Background” mc. Change the graphic inside this clip to the new page size

2. “Spread Size” mc. Change the graphic inside this clip to the new page spread size (2 pages side by side)

3. Inside “Spread” mc move the “Page Corner” mc’s to the edge of the page spread.

4. Also Inside “Spread” mc, you will see a layer labeled “Spreads”. On that layer is a mc called “Magazine Spreads”. Position that mc’s x co-ordinate exactly half the width of “Spread Size” mc. The y coordinate should be 0.

5. In the library click inside the movieclip “Spread Change Mask” and change the width of the red graphic to your total pages width. Forinstance if one of your pages is 400 px wide, the red graphic should be 800 px wide, then realign it to the right. If your pages are significantly taller also increase the height, and make sure to vertically align center.

6. And finally you will need to adjust the following movieclips to match your new pages height, “glow mask” and “shadow mask”, and make sure to vertically align center.

Hello,

I am having a problem regarding new smoothing images. I think I have done everything Ok because I have tested it using “image1” and “image7” and the corresponding image appeared fine, but when linking to my “image8”, the page appears blank. What can I do to solve this matter?

Hello,

I am getting errors during compilation with CS4 . Something wrong with tweed file. I would also ask for help in putting my pages together. I cannot see anything in CS4 . Your intructions a bit too short. I need more details please.

I really thought that all the pages are external. To add a page, I’ll have to edit the source file which I do not want to do. Also the font ( kroeger 0853 ) is not included and I’ll still have to find this font. I am not happy with it. It’s not easy to modify this file.

how do i edit and where will i find the text of each page? Contents page, all the Latin on pages, the word Portfolio ect.

openjam-Open “magazine_flip.fla”, open your library (ctrl+L), and click inside the “Magazine Spreads” movieclip, here you will find all of the page spreads.
