When I put the .htaccess file in the folder, all I get is an “Internal Server Error” message.

Hi there, this is MFU v2. It allows you to upload multiple files at a time, and you can choose what files can be uploaded, and what files can’t.
Some added features:
- Shows you how to skin the table/buttons.
- You can now add files, then close the window, and add more files.
- You can select files and delete them from your list again, or clear the complete list.
- Upload status has its own little window
When I put the .htaccess file in the folder, all I get is an “Internal Server Error” message.

I unzipped the files, change the $theUploadFolder name on lines 3 of both php files and uploaded everything to my website.
It works for files that are 2mb or less and ignores anything bigger.
This was ideal for me because it would allow clients to send me large files without having to email them, but at 2mb or less they might as well just email them.

jurgenv,
I’ve recently purchased your uploader, but when I unzipped the contents and uploaded the files to my site it almost works, with the exception that after it’s finished uploading the files and it gives you the “files uploaded successfully” message, the files are not on the specified folder on my site ie. “upload” folder (directory). Please advice.

zylber, are you sure all path references are correct? Have you created the upload folder on your server? Maybe you are loading the swf into another swf or from another location? Then things change in the path references: they should then be defined as from the loading instance.

Hi jurgenv , Is there a way to send a variable from the SWF to the PHP files to change the directory where the images are stored? Any help would be really appreciated. Regards Speedo

Hi Feha. I think It’s a bit inappropriate to expect me to answer your comment within three hours.
Anyhow I’ve sent you the swf file.

This works like a charm and I am pretty pleased with it.
I was throw that a SWF file wasn’t in the zip, maybe consider creating an index page that has the SWF set up? Flash newbies like myself would appreciate that I think
My other comment is that the “used diskspace” measurement is always at 25%, no matter how many files I upload the reading never changes.
I notice it also reads 25% in the demo here, is that a bug?

I bought this file and can successfully upload JPG and GIF files only but I also want to upload other files types like TXT , PDF, DOC etc.
I modified the FLA like this but it did not work, it just hangs at upload:
fileTypes = new Array({description:”Any”, extension:”.*”},{description:”Images only”, extension:”.jpg;.gif;.pdf;.psd;.eps;.txt;.doc”})
How do I make the utility upload ANY file type I want or just even specified file types like PDF ?
Thanks, Great tool!

@frost: one of the variables in the actionscript (I think totalFileSize) has a large number in it -set this to 0 and all will be good
Hi I bought this a while back and just found out that Mac users can’t upload…. do you have a work round yet or can I get a refund?

Hey I was wondering if you have had the chance to work on a single file upload?? What would be great to see is a preview of the 1 image you want to change and then once you have uploaded it will refresh the preview.
If it was image specific then im sure this file would appeal to everyone who had standard pages they want to update.
Say for example on an about page you could set the file to look for aboutus.jpg
Do you know what I mean??
I would be happy to design the interface if you fancy it
Thanks for the great uploader. I need this to work with Mac and I think I know what the problem is. Unfortunatly I do not know much about Actionscript and PHP but I created an ASP page that use a file uploader and found in many cases the file path for the mac file isn’t present. Can I display the whole filepath in the upload box instead of just the filename. This will tell me if my theory is correct. I have done some tests and if the file is stored on directly on the main drive ie /file.jpg then it will upload if the file is stored in a folder ie /image/file.jpg then it doesn’t upload. To make this work on all platforms we just need to find out how to get the mac file path.

Hey there again. did some more testing and some research – Please disregard my comments above, I have changed this line in the action script fileTypes = new Array({description:”Any”, extension:”.*”},{description:”Images only”, extension:”.*”}) so it now looks like this.
I am still testing but so far I seem to be able to upload anything from my Mac using Safari.
Hope this helps.

When I try to upload an image using this demo, it ‘starts’ the upload, but there’s no progress bar indicator and it never finishes. It’s a simple small jpg file.

HI,
I am interested in buying but the demo seems to have a bug:
If I select 5 (or any number) of pictures to upload and then click on the first, or middle, or any picture to delete from the list it deletes every picture between it and the end.
e.g. choose 5 photos, select the 3rd photo to delete, it deletes photos 3, 4, 5 instead of just photo 3.
Can you fix this?
Cheers, Gordon

Pity nobody ha done a version that allows you to resize photos on upload…...no upload files on flashden does this.

Shame you didn’t answer my question above, I will find another solution.
