Lightning effects

These are transparant image sequence animations of different kind of lightning effects. You can use these animations in any flash version. In this example I used the flash 8 glow filters to create a realistic lightning glow effect. The download package also includes larger image sequences (100×100 px, 72 dpi, transparant png and 400×400 px, 72 dpi, transparant png), so you can create bigger sized animations. No actionscript required!

Flash 8 file (with glow filters for realistic lightning effect)

Image sequences 400×400 px (72 dpi) of all lightnign animations (transparant png)

Yes, all bitmap image sequences (transparant, so you can use them on any background), that also explains the filesize.

Well, you more likely than not would only use one or two of these, so the file size will be significantly less than 317kb for all you worried about the size.

To give you an example of a single lightning effect sequence:

png sequence 100×100 with a jpg compression of 80% takes up 51Kb
