I’m pleased to offer the first kaleidoscope class on FlashDen! The Kaleidoscope class allows you to take any image and turn it into a cool looking kaleidoscope display.

The images can rotate automatically or be controlled by your mouse position. You can change images on the fly, as well as the rotation type and speed. The rotation speed is only used for automatic rotation.

For this demo, if you are using automatic rotation and you want to change the speed, just hit the Auto button again for the new speed value to take effect.

I haven’t tested a fullscreen image, but it’s definitely possible. I’m just not sure about performance. I will test it later and get back to you.

currently it won’t support video, but I like that idea. I will add that to my list of projects.

I’ve created a version that handles fullscreen, but as I suspected it’s a cpu hog. I’ll give it to whoever’s interested, but I don’t recommend it.

katana07: you can certainly create a movie clip from it and use it in an animation. Just be careful with the size, it will start to run slowly at large sizes.
