Update 09 April 2008 Dark Overlay removed + rollOver substituted by saturate – desaturate effect.

This movie loads images via XML and generates an horizontal menu. It uses tween methods to produce smooth animation effects while interacting with the images. Version Pro comes with brand new features:

I don’t understand. Why was this file only purchased 121 times? It’s not useless. I think it should have been bought at LEAST twice as many times.

Hi ccie04! You can always re-download the file from the “Downloads” section of your flashden account. Both included files (CS3, FL8 ) open successfully on CS4 , so I guess something went wrong while downloading the file. Let me know if there’s still any problem. Thanks.

Really Really Nice Job! One huge suggestion though… change the name or add a meta tag with the word Accordion… Others have sold much more then you and your version is sooooo much better, but it took me an hour to find it… almost gave up looking for it :) Thanks again for the great file :)

Hi Again,

As you can see I bought your file and I’m looking forward to using it, it’s great! :) I have two quick questions…

Is there a quick way to make it vertical like you have in the actionscript 3 version?

This one is really important… I need to add a loadMovie funciton or loadMovieNum to the “photoRelease” function. I know I can do this for a general movie that will load when I click on any of the swf I load, but I don’t want to load a “general” movie, but an individual movie that corresponds to each swf. Here is what I mean:

In Line 277: function photoRelease(){ // I know I can add here “loadMovie or loadMovieNum” but this will cause any image to clicked on to load the same movie instead of an individual one.// So I need to tell it to loadMovie according to the xml photo id//

How can I do this… Please please help because otherwise I’m kinda screwed with my project :( :(

@ sumo: If you want to change the text you need to edit the xml file (the “description” attribute for each “photo” tag). If you want to change the textFormat you need to edit the descriptionFormat & headlineFormat objects (look inside the .as file at lines 75, 83). If you still have problem customizing the text send an email for further instruction. Thanks.

I have 1 strange 1 :(

I wanna to import this menu @ my joomla template, so I can not do it for about 2 days now. I edited fl8 version, and put in my photos and linx but I need your help. I just hope you can help me.

I have fl londer online, and I made index.php with this menu. Now, when I call up the menu mysite.com/fl8/index.php its beautifull. but when I tell my template to do the exact same thing… nothing. Just blank flash file. Its imported, but not visibile.

Can you help…

@ gagriggs: Hi! Let me know if I understand this correctly. You want while moving the mouse out of the movie, the last item selected to remain open or some other one (default for instance, the first one). Can you make it a little more specific. Thanks.

Hey, this looks like a very useful flash to purchase. I do have knowledge in flash so I’ll only ask these few question before I make a purchase.

1. Currently, the size of your original flash is around 570×263px. If I want to resize them, would it be possible? Or do I need to change a lot of things in the actionscript?

2. Currently there are 10 boxes and when I rollover each of them, it’ll appear the actual image. What if I only have 5 images or maybe 15 images? Will the boxes be resized accordingly?

I’ll happily be making the purchase once I understand about the 2 questions listed. Thanks!

hmmm i was reccomended to buy this by a friend but when i saw his version , it had unnecessary black thing around it . How do i remove that and make it transparent ? I tried experimenting with his files and make it white but it will not match my background which has multiple colours . Please let me know if it is possible to remove it and how as im very interested

@Bust3rboi: Hi! When did you buy this file, because in the latest update I have removed the dark layer. So if you don’t have the latest version, try downloading the file once again from the Downloads section of your profile page. Let me know if you still have problem. Thanks for buying my files.

@christhoo: 1. Yes it is possible. You will just need to specify the new dimensions. 2. Yes. Having declared the instance dimensions and the photo dimensions, all adjustments will automatically be generated. Thanks.

This is a great menu. Thanks! Quick question.

What are the specific instructions for changing the opacity level of the background behind the text when you mouse over the photo? Some of my photos are very light and it is difficulty to read the white text. I would like to fix this by making the background on the text a bit darker.

Additionally, how can I increase the title width. Currently the title can hold no more than 20 characters. I’d like to increase this.

In the .as file I changed the following line:

target[movieClipName].beginFill(color, alphaValue); to target[movieClipName].beginFill(color, 75);
