Hi CreativeMedia: This site only read external data to guestbook, photos are loading by external folders but don’t need xml because dimensions are updated in actionscript code, after image load, so this is very easy upload your photos or swfs with any dimensions and you don’t need edit xml files, and if your photos are bigger than stage resolution, bitmapData is apply and you see photos ever with same quality.

Great file! As a user I would like to make some suggestions.

â€¢ I would prefer the main picture not to be screened out when I roll over the thumbs. I want to still see it and not be “locked out”

â€¢ It’s quite slow here on Firefox and Safari. Slow as in “choppy” or “jerky” I notice that my CPU isn’t working at all so it must be the loading or something else causing it.

â€¢ I don’t think there is a slide show on Flash Den (maybe one) that loads all the pics in the background whilst the user is browsing. This is the single most important feature in a slide show. Nobody likes waiting. Now the last point is just my opinion so take it with a grain of salt.

If I had to list all the things I liked about your file then this post would be 5 times as long. Much respect to you.

Nice work. It takes awhile to load Images and pans real slow for each gallery Is there a way to make this faster

with large image sizes of course is slow, and you need faster server too…

I agree on the server. I’m looking in to that as I use 1and1.com if that matters. I’m using much smaller images and still viewing them takes a bit of time to view and also when I go to view the other pages their slow loading as well Its like the pages drag across the screen before they load.

Is there a way to make the transitions faster ???

sorry for late answer…

To make transitions faster:

Click on “Symbol 58” in the library and in the timeline actions go to line 35 img_mc.content_mc.block_mc2.resizeTo(img_mc.content_mc.block_mc._width+12, img_mc.content_mc.block_mc._height+12, 2, T);

...,2,T) this “2” is time of transition = 2 seconds , change this to your preferred time.

and…

Click on “Symbol 31 Copy”, frame 3, line 38 and 39:

_parent.img_mc.content_mc.resizeTo(largura, altura, 2, _root.T); _parent.img_mc.content_mc.maskara.resizeTo(_parent.img_mc.content_mc.block_mc2._width -6, _parent.img_mc.content_mc.block_mc2._height -6, 2, _root.T);

Change “2” too.

You also put a variable in _root timeline, for ex: timeTr = 0.8; and change this “2” with _root.timeTr, and then you only need change timeTr value
