Since the inception of Cafepress, users have practically been begging for the ability to host their store on their own site. After years without this ability, Cafepress finally released an api giving users the ability to access their store information. Flashpress uses that api to create the first and only Flash Cafepress store that can be hosted on your site.
Setting up your Flashpress store is simple. You don’t need Flash or any special software. Just open the xml in any html editor to customize colors, your logo, text, and a few other things, and then upload. You don’t even need to set up or interact with a database. All instructions are in easy to follow video tutorials.
Your Flashpress store can be used on its own or contain add-ons. The featured product slideshow is ready and easy to implement. There are more add-ons coming soon.
The home page of the store shows all of your designs with a title and the number of products that have that design. If needed, a scrollbar appears that can be dragged or you can just use your scroll wheel. When you click a design it shows all of the products with that design, the price, and title. When you click on the product, a detailed view pops up and everything else is grayed out. The detailed view shows a large image of the front, back (if applicable), design, full title, description, price, size dropdown, color options, quantity, and a buy button. When you click the buy button, you are taken to your Cafepress cart. From there the user can keep shopping or proceed to checkout and make you money!
