This is a fully functional and customizable spell checker. You can use this with any input text field. However, it does not support html text fields or text fields that are justified (not left, center, or right-aligned).
- Customize the misspelling underline
- Change the color
- Choose squiggly line, circles, or triangles
- You can use your own word lists (eg. Need a different language)
- Users can add words to the dictionary that will only affect them (using SharedObject).
- Right-click a misspelled word to get suggestions.
- Dictionary contains over 40,000 words
Update:
Dec 18, 2008 – The file was updated fixing a few minor issues.
- Random browser crashes when right-clicking misspelled words (this appears to be an issue with the Flash plugin)
