Hello Quickyboy purchased and testet,, but when i put it on the server, the browser says, i havent the permisions fot the images/foto path..
its a other possibility to make the link to the pics as the code myData.push (new Info (xmlItems [i].attributes.year, “config/foto/” + xmlItems [i].attributes.pic, xmlItems [i].attributes.text));
or can u help me whit the code to eliminate the pics-function? i mine.. ..to have only text?

Excellent work – I have a question which is much the same as JPWheelr I quote…
”@quickyboy: I’m talking about the year box in itemH. Even when I expand that box, they overlap terribly; so my guess is that the changes need to be made externally of the symbols. I am wanting to use a date range as opposed to a specific year and need the extra room. I am not too concerned if some labels have more whitespace than others (uniform width).”

In response to the post above – simply look for the following code in the timeline.as file
var itemh = hmenu.attachMovie (“itemH”, “year” + i, i , { _x : 30 * i, _y : 0 });
and change the number 30 to whatever you want

Can I use swf files instead of images? This may be just what I’m looking for.
my download is missing mc_tween2.as. also, i want to embed the timeline swf into another swf. when i do this the navigation for the timeline is not showing up. any help would be greatly appreciated. thanks.

i think i figured out the issue with changing the font- all fonts must be the same. when i tried to change just one others disappeared. but i changed them all to Helvetica and they’re fine now.

I’m having problems loading this file from another template. Everytime I try to load it with a template, it doesn’t work well..and I don’t know what to do..
Can somebody help me? The author is SILENT .. I tried to contact him several times and I have never recived his messages back, neither for other files that I purchase from him.. I understand that he may be busy, but he doesn’t give any support or help..and it’s not right
I’m very very deluded.
Can this auto play through the timeline at start? I am looking to create a timeline picture slideshow that autoplays.

Finally figured out how to modify this file to include special characters. The author of the file didn’t give instructions here so thought I would post how to do it since I had to figure it out myself.
click on “itemT” in your library
click into the dynamic text field where you want to embed the special characters
In the properties panel select “embed” button
highlight all the characters you will need (shift to highlight all those from uppercase to basic latin)
add these characters to the “include these characters” text box : éèçùàâäêëîïôöùüûŒœÇ
Then export your movie.
That should do it!

Great file! I only have one issue. I would like to link the file to a content.asp file instead of the content.xml file. The new file is basically the same markup as the XML file, but is dynamic. I went into the timeline.as file and changed myXML.load (“content.xml” TO myXML.load (“content.asp”. The flash then stops pulling the xml. Is there anywhere else where the content.xml file is called? I have combed through the flash file as well as the .as files and am unable to find anything.
Any help is appreciated!

Except where explicitly stated this file is entirely the work of quickyboy. The author has indicated that any images / sounds / video / flash used which are not the author's work have been appropriately licensed for resale.
Think this file has infringed someone else's copyright?
