Is it possible to turn off the description?

Posted about 1 month ago

reknzel: yes you can, just leave the description blank / empty, please email me if you are having problems.

You mention everything in your documentation except how to correctly embed the movie into my page :) Took me a bit of searching.. Here it is for the other newbies like me :)

<!-url’s used in the movie-> <!-text used in the movie->

Also, the description bar still appears (its around 5-7 pixels high) even when the xml file has no description at all. It pops up. Slightly annoying.

Hi Mayurj. Yes, you’re right, it does. I fixed that, but they haven’t uploaded the update yet.

!! So if anyone has bought it and would like no bar when you leave the description blank, please email me and I will send you the updated copy of the file. !! :) Thanks.

And I didn’t include instructions on how to embed the swf into your html, because this is a general topic and issue and there is also a lot of controversy that surrounds it with many ways of embedding a swf into a html page. Thanks.

Christian, yes, I am realizing now there are a number of ways to include the flash.

Do you think you can provide some assistance to me on the right way? I am trying to embed the movie but it doesn’t work. It’s just a blank white space.

1.) No instruction to insert into page and work. 2.) Can’t open Flash file ‘Unexpected format’.

Please email me with instructions on how to put this into my HTML page. Added the SWF but tat does nothing. White screen.

Thanks.

To insert your swf files into your html pages please see the following link: http://www.w3schools.com/flash/flash_inhtml.asp – there are many ways of embedding your swf files into your html pages.

And MYS7 , I emailed you back, but ‘unexpected format’ is because it is a Flash CS3 file – you must have this version of Flash or higher – which was clearly stated.

File is now updated, so if descriptions are left blank, the description bar will not show up. :)

Hello,

great Slideshow.

But one problem: I need to show special chars like “ö” and “ä” in the description, but it doesn´t work. Can you help me?

if I need to load swf into another movie clip, what should I change? I can’t figure it out :/

Posted 10 days ago

alf-axel, you’ll have to go into the file and on the text field embed those characters you want (type it into the embed other characters field).

sanik, just copy and past the movieclip into another fla.
