Draggable Animated ToolTips :

These are for those who appreciate smooth animations. I take my time with mini-animations & will be uploading more.

Simple instructions:

1.) There are 6 simple Buttons in the Flash file.

2.) Double Click on them and customize away. ;)

4.) Change the Tool Tip TITLES & DESCRIPTIONS to whatever you like by selecting a BUTTON & opening the actions panel(F9 on Windows) or WINDOW -> ACTIONS .

Enjoy.

I am new to Flash…..but I know that typically the actions should be in a layer called actions…..or at least in the “Tip” MC….but I can only find them if I open the movie explorer. Also, I liked the animation of the tool tips and wanted to add these to my own buttons but I see that these are not called up using an instance but are actually attached to the symbol itself…am I seeing this correctly. My buttons are MC’s for effects.

I was hopeing this was a simple drag and drop type of effect where I could add the AS to my btn…...Maybe I’m too new at this to completely understand…

They are in a Tip mc.

He bob..is the animation AS or did you animate on stage with custom easing tool. Can I use them in an xml based app?

I finally have an XML version in the que for those of you who prefer xml.

Do we get the XML version for free if we purchased this one? Where do we get it?

They are two completely different files with unique purposes.

The XML version is on my profile under my portfolio.

I’m almost certain I’m too new to be able to use this. Right now, my tooltips are pretty basic and boring. They’re javascript wrapped in a href tag…

onmouseover=”Tip(‘text of message goes here’, WIDTH , 250, BGCOLOR , ’##F7F7F7’;)

This is totally different, isn’t it…?
