Hi, I want to know if it’s possible to add the TAX as a fixed value, and that this value will add to total.
Posted 2 months ago
I believe it can be set in your PayPal account settings.
My advice is simply call PayPal & ask how the tax variable can be set if possible.

Hey Tyreehot!
Just purchased this cart and saw your example. Great incentive! We’re running a Ghost Tour down in Norcross, and I’m going to see if I can follow your example on our cart.

Awww….I was hoping that I wouldn’t need to ask you for help…but I was wrong.
I’ve gotten the cart working in a design that I need, and it works perfectly when I run it’s SWF , but when I use loadMovie to load it into an empty MC, the – and + beside each line item lose functionality. They work fine if the SWF is run by itself. It’s only when they are loaded into my main movie that they don’t.

You can try two things.
1. If you are loading the movie clip into another swf, use this._lockRoot = true; on the clip you load the cart into.
or
2. Or two, you can remove all the _root.’s in the cart mc.
Some will need to be replaced with _parent.’s instead of _root.’s
However, you can also use naming conventions.
e.g. myCart.Cart.item.sub…

Hi flash cart great it is fun to use. file I was playing with the file and was wondering what steps it takes to allow the shopping cart to show more products in the cart. because what I am trying to do is allow someone to build a custom product by dragging lots of different items into the cart. Right now the cart Ads up all the money but only displays like 8 products in the list. This could work I suppose but was wondering if it was hard or easy task. Thanks a bunch for the great file

HI,
You simply need to double click on the “orderform” movie clip.
Then there is 5 list mc’s.
Copy and paste more of them and relabel them accordingly.
e.g.
l0, l1, l2, l3, l4, l5, l6, etc…

Finally got this up and running.
Check the ‘Tickets’ link and pick a date. Careful…it’s live! (Unless you wanna send me some money).

Hi, I need:
- Change the checkout option for a PRINT option - Posibility to Add the TAX value, and that this value will add to total. - Posibility to Put the items by XML
This is an example, about what i need, but only will be 10 items or less http://menu.com.do/ver_restaurante.php?id=377
Thanks!

There might be an xml version worked on in the future, but the whole checkout option for a print thing not sure about.
Also, I have not messed with adding a tax variable as this can be set by the seller in their PayPal account.

Thanks for developing this great cart. I’m a beginner when it comes to Flash. In the description for this product it says “Well Documented.” Could you tell me where I could get the documentation? It didn’t come with my download. Thanks again!
Posted about 1 month ago
Hi,
Thanks for purchasing.
The documentation is actually mainly in the action script for this particular file.
It’s got notation about what almost everything is/does inside the actions panel where the items are scripted.

Thanks for your quick response. Gotta tell you, I was hoping for a bit more then notations in the action script. As I mentioned, I’m a novice when it comes to Flash which would include actionscripting. However, I am learning. It just would have been nice to have some documentation to go along with this cart.

I too am still learning action script and hope it will suffice for now.

Great cart. Thanks a ton. I had a quick ? Is it possible to have the item populate in the cart after clicking, instead of dragging? How drastic of a code change would this be?
Many thanks.

Riverdog, you can simply purchase any of my other cart solutions with “Add to Cart Buttons” for such functionality.

Thanks for getting back to me, I got it working perfectly. One last and final question I promise.
Say you have multiple sections (styles of t-shirts) so I will be loading in different swfs for each shirt, with a set of sizes. Is it possible to have the actual checkout cart in a global clip, so no matter what swf I have loaded when i add to cart…it will load that item into your main cart. Does that make sense?
Many thanks!
