Use this little application to search for available domain names. You may also view WHOIS data for domain names with over 80 domain name extensions!
The app is isolated into a movie clip so it can easily be implemeted into another flash movie, just drag & drop!

Is there a way to do this without the domain purchasing options from Verio? – I want it just check for availability.

You can make the file use any domain name search engine available on the web by changing the URL that’s currently on the button.
In this example it’s using www.whois.net for the domain name and WHOIS lookup but can be easily changed for anything else. I’ve explained how to do this in the documentation too.

It would be nice if it returned the results within the flash movie instead of sending you to the site.

Having trouble getting this to work inside another flash file. Works fine as a stand alone file but when I drop it into my flash template your file losses the ability to enter text or choose domain/whois options. Please assist me in finding a solution.
