The benefits of using onRelease instead of onPress is… often a person may click down on a button and instantly change their mind, so having the onRelease command associated with a button enables the visitor to drag their mouse off of the button and make another choice. When you use onPress, the visitor is stuck with the link associated with that button, and they may not like it. Then they get mad. Then, the next time you are sitting in traffic and you want to change lanes, guess who’s in the lane next to you… that’s right… Mr. onPress won’t let you over because he is having a bad day, and he is still upset over clicking the wrong link and not having enough time to change his mind… and he continues this type of destructive behavior all week long, bringing down everyone around him. And who’s fault is that?... You might wanna think twice before typing “onPress” again (unless it’s just for a button effect, nothing too fancy though, just something nice).

LOL , egoBuilders makes an excellent point in a very humorous fashion. I know I’ve caught myself on numerous occasions pressing the wrong button but saving myself by not releasing. onRelease allows you that luxury.

lol, i try not to comment on comments but that was too funny. For my next button I will put a pop-up to check and see if your releasing the button was on purpose or if maybe you sneezed and let go on accident. :) But will the pop-up confirmation be onPress?... You will have to wait and see.

ps. change ‘onPress’ to ‘onRelease’ if anyone is having further problems :)
