All the features of my previous CSS text scroller, but this time, with added smooth scrolling!

Make it easy for clients to update content in your Flash movies by using this super easy-to-use solution. Not only can clients edit/maintain content in a basic .txt file, but you or your client can also style the text using a .css file!

This is a great way to update text very easily without the need to open any Flash files.

There are three files in total. Obviously, your .swf Flash file. And then a .css file to control your text formatting, and finally a .txt file that contains your content.

Simple. Easy. Enjoy!

@marcob Yes! You can change the hyperlink color to whatever you want. That’s the beauty of using CSS , easy to update! :)

Nice file!

Its a bit hard to have mainly images though, they all sit on top of each other, What happems if I don’t want most of the text – and more vertically scrolling images?

I cant seem to solve it in css or with line breaks.

Please help.

In actual fact,

Wouldn’t a straight up html file be better for formatting the structure than a text file (for us designers) – is this possible?

OK, last time I bug you!

I cant add any extra images – this is a shame. I dont just want one image, I want 3 – the file will not let me format 3 images, no matter how i try.

I just loose text, only parts of the image are displayed etc. This file is only easily editable as long as you dont want to add or do anything to it!

Please help.

Im sorry!

output.autoSize = true;

This line of code does indeed fix all when placed in your content mc’s actionscript.

Now i can add many images and still see everything!

You must add this fix because even the image being displayed above is not the actual size of the image in the folder.

Its being squashed by the other content – should be twice the height!

how do you include the “&” symbol within the .txt file without it ending the remaining copy?

Is there a way to make the “dragger” and “scrollTrack” not visible when the content is smaller than the “mask”?

Hello, very good file, but it seems, all your text don’t appears in the swf file. It stop at the expression “at vitae” , so, the end of the content is “nibh”... And I tried an other text, it is like it. Why??? Thanks for your answer

So has anyone figured out how to increase the text field without the text being cut off?

If I increase the text box it just makes the text bigger and not give me more text space.

Yeah!!! I figured it out.

I got to watch out for the symbols that I use in the text.

I guess the “&” symbol makes words vanish on the screen.

Can anyone help me add a link with and sign in it to the text pages for the scroller. I’ve found that I had to remove all and signs (&) from the text

here.
