designesia,

Can you add a submenu right under a main button through your xml file? Also, I created an emptyMC on the _root. “createEmptyMovieClip(“emptyMC” , “100”;);”

I would like to call a swf to show without having to create a new swf that acts like another web page. I hope this is clear. Can this be done through your menu app?

Very clean and elegant menu.

Nice menu. it’s been what im looking for, i am a newbee to flash so bare with me. How easy is it to add buttons and take the rounded edges off?

Posted 2 months ago

Nice clean design…I think it might be better if the animation was a bit quicker.

Posted 2 months ago

@genteel: to add new button, you just need edit the xml file

To remove the rounded edge you can do this manually. Just open the .fla file then doubleclick movieclip “menus” in stage, then delete movieclip “left_rounded” and “right_rounded”.

Feel free to contact me if you have any question.

Thanks

@arctic_ark : thanks arctic_ark for your suggestion

Nice file – needed a simple easy to add to and edit animated menu. I have chaged the flash to work on a white background but cannot find the layer to remove the black outer glow/shadow around the menu.

I have found how to edit the rollover effect how do I change the colour of the actual menu.

Cannot seem to find in the flash is it in AS?

@dirty_den : Thanks. To remove shadow you can go to main stage then click movie clip “menus” > then open properties panel > click tab filter > remove filter

To edit menu color is same way like you edit the rollover effect. Open library panel > find movie clip “BUTTON ROLLOUT ” > right click > edit > you can edit color now (this is using shape tween, look at first and last frame)

Contact me if you still have any question or you send this file to me, i will help you to modify

Thanks. Just couldn’t seem to find the layers and movieclips these were located on. Ive found them now. Xml makes adding extra buttons easier than creating or editing a bar of buttons made from scratch – Just what I needed.

You’re welcome :)

Is there a way to get the menu items to display vertically? I need to keep this menu but have the nav running down the left side.

dirty_den: in this version is just for display horizontally
