Hi Chuck,

I’ve got the form customized the way I want, it’s functioning correctly on my test site so I’m receiving the form info but I’ve got one nagging problem I can’t seem to figure out and hoping you can help me.

I’m using your contact form on an older version of robwes19’s template found here:

http://www.flashden.net/files/56007/index.html

When the Contact page loads and the wipe transition begins, your forms categories (i.e name, email, subject, send, clear) are visible/are on top of the black wipe transition.

Everything else such as the form background, red asterisks, lines, etc are hidden behind the transition until it’s revealed but not the categories. It’s a bit visually disconcerting to see the categories before the transition reveal.

I’ve tried altering the layer stack in your FLA and putting the Form layer in every position above the Background layer. In addition, I’ve changed the layer stack containing the AS code that calls your form in Rob’s FLA in every position above the background as well… to no avail.

Any idea what I’m missing here?

Trying not to be a pest and working to figure things out on my own before I ask for help but after a couple of hours, I’m out of things to try.

Thank you so much!

In case this might help, here’s the AS code for the transition:

import mx.transitions.; import mx.transitions.easing.;

//TransitionManager.start(page6MC, {type:Iris, direction:Transition.IN, duration:2, easing:Strong.easeOut, startPoint:5, shape:Iris.SQUARE});

TransitionManager.start(page6MC, {type:Wipe, direction:Transition.IN, duration:2, easing:None.easeNone, startPoint:1});

Totally understand, thanks anyway.

Chuck,

No spam on either of the email addresses I tried. Is there any code in the html file provided that needs to be there in order for it to work? I exported the movie with the changed email address and embedded it into a new html in dreamweaver.

Hi, Great file! Can you tell me how to get values from checkboxes that I’ve added to the form? I can’t seem to get these working.

Thanks, Darren.

Chuck,

I’m not sure why the form is not sending? I’ve made all the necessary changes.

sheldon,

wow, you are right. On the same browser the preview here works fine, but on that site my keyboard goes American! that`s really odd. I will do some research to see if i can get to the bottom of this.

Fantastic – very simple to impliment – far easier than many others I have tried I will be purchasing more.

Just a small comment a customisation help file would be very useful so that we do not have to do it by trial and error. For instance adding new fields or changing the colours and sizes.

Hi Chuck

I have the file, and it works great on Safari, unfortunately, it’s hit or miss whether it works on firefox or not. Sometimes the send button, just isn’t functioning as a button. Do you have any suggestions?

Thanks
