This cool little utility takes in a string and creates a string that follows the mouse obediently.

Features: The file size(33.2kb) given for this file is due to the numericstepper components. They are put just for demonstration purposes. Without them, the file would be around 0.6kb.

Available in Flash 8 and previous versions of Flash till Flash MX
Customizable follow speed
Text format options like fonts, colours, etc that come into the TextFormat object can be assigned very easily
X and y direction movements are controlled independently giving you more flexibility
The text is placed randomly on the screen when created giving a very nice effect
Additional effects like blur and all other filters can be applied very easily with the help of actionscript (Not applicable to flash versions below 8 )

how do i change the text and then get rid of all of the buttons and text field so it is just a trailer?

Remove the “controls” layer and “controls actions” layer…in the “Actions” layer, change statement 

var mainstr:String = follower_txt.text
to 
var mainstr:String = "your text";
