Just in time for the Christmas season…

An advent calendar with a little flap for each day, and hiding under each flap is a dynamically loading picture of your choice, linking to another webpage!

You can only open the flaps up to todays date and only in December! (so you may need to adjust your computer’s date before previewing if you want to be able to open the flaps!)

FEATURES : Dynamically loading images – just replace the sample jpgs with your own! Dynamically loading text and links – just edit the txt file!

BONUS : Christmas tree and presents movie clips that you can drag and drop into your own files!

Use it to showcase you flash files on flashden, or your porftolio, or even use it as your Christmas card and change the pics to little pics of you and your family! You could even use it for special offers, so each day of December up till christmas could have a special offer for your customers! Possibilities are endless :)

Nice idea – but if you “open” a later date then the one above it is hidden..open 14 and it hides 8…

you can easily close 14.. then you’ll be able to see 8 again :)

or just edit the file so that the flap dissappears once it’s opened if it’s an issue to you!

I think you should turn off the hand cursor when you roll over the holiday props. It makes me think that I can click on them. Great idea, though!

diddlejuice, you could just add “this.useHandCursor = false;” in the rollOver function of each of the props, Or alternatively add an “on (release)” function and make them do something when you click on them! :)

nellie,

Very nice file, I would love to purchase this file. However, I need to know if I can modify it to cover a 12 day span between December and January that can be accessed no matter what date it is.

Thanks!

corrector,

If you know some actionscript you should be able to work it out. All the code is commented.

Otherwise I can do it for you for a small fee. If you would like to discuss this, please give me your email address and I will contact you.

I’m not very good in AS quite yet.

i am the buyer, it is a great file, but i just thought it would have been better XML driven as it was a little tiresome to edit.

Great file none the less :)

Jay, thanks for your comments :)

Though I don’t see how XML would make it any easier to edit? All you need to do is name your images “1.jpg”, “2.jpg” etc. And add your urls to the text file.

Anyway, thanks for buying :)

is there a way to jumble the numbers up? i would prefer them to be in a random order like a proper advent calendar :)
