A realistic chalkboard (blackboard). Draw your own messages on the board. This version also has two erase options. Erase your drawing by clicking “clear all”, or change from drawing mode to erase mode which enables you to delete parts of your drawing. Really cool for your website.
Instructions are included as comments in the actionscript layer.

Very realistic … now in addition to the “chalk” and “eraser” modes you could do “fingernails” and add that horrible screeching noise 
cool – you should add some functionality that allows the user to save the drawing into an image and to email it!

I’d like to use this same idea for a window thats frosted from the start, and be able to clear the frost away with a brush to see the image beneath it. Is this file easily enough to use to retrofit for that purpose ?

What you want is possible. But this file is not build for that purspose. What you need is a kind of mask that you are drawing. Let me think about thisone. How fast do you need a think like this?

I’m looking for something for the coming weekend if possible … if not, no biggie, im sure i can whip something up …. i really like the way the chalk looks, it could easily pass for frost on a window … i was just hoping that you could start off with the ‘chalk’ already set .

Hello Wal_toor your chalkboard is really beautifull, i have see that users ask for save function, did you had time to work on it ? I would be interrested in this case. I would like the user to save the file on his computer or maybe on my server (but this could cause security risks)

Wow! Looking very realistic. Too bad it doesn’t have ANY use. Would be nice (like others already wrote) to be able to save it. Maybe just save ONE instance somewhere.
It would be really fun if someone wrote something on the board and a next visitor could see that and write something else.
