AS3 XML Picture Viewer. Easy XML controls of background color, spacing between nodes on the stage, and all text/links/images seen on stage.

Uses simple CSS Style Sheet to set link colors and styles.

Uses garbage collection pretty effectively to keep file size down for users computers.

Photoshop files included so you can easily change the background of the smaller images, or the larger image that loads.

Categories provided at bottom of page.

Pictures can be changed with left and right keys on your keyboard, and picture can be closed with your delete or backspace key.

White background version with simple XML variable change from 0×00000 to 0xFFFFF, http://www.congertemplates.com/PictureViewer.html

Hi bundy, yes you can load SWF ’s as well as images. I have never tested FLV ’s on it, but I would guess that it wouldn’t work with FLV ’s in this version.

Thanks for the comments guys. The hardest part was making sure the Garbage collection was working as well as possible.

Hi Victor, if this file is received well I will go back and make one that works with Flash MX 2004 +. I saw a lot of Picture Viewers for Flash 8/ AS 2 out there, so I wanted to make one in AS3 for now. But thanks for the interest.

I want to buy your file but I could not change with flash8 pro your big “loading” that I am not very nice (too big for example) nor the “handles” images (buttons next and previous) Otherwise, all is wonderful for me, particularly if I can change on the blackground in XML … Please, can you to change these two details for me ? Thanks

Yes Victor, the background color can be changed through a simple variable in the XML .

As for the loading text, are you saying the font is too big?

Also, you don’t like the left/right arrows? If so, I agree. I actually already submitted a modified version with slightly smaller “loading” text and a little bit different arrows.

Victor, are you waiting for the Flash 8 version I’m assuming, or simply the visual changes to this AS3 version?

BTW , thanks for all you do for Flashden and us developers/designers.

Ok, I will let you know when I get a Flash 8 version completed and you can buy it then. I’m going to make sure this AS3 version is as good as I can get it through whatever changes are suggested, and then I will work on changing it to an AS2 Flash 8 version.
