ADG3 : GRID MASK TRANSITION

HomeBrowse CategoriesAnimationsTransitionsADG3 : Grid Mask Transition

A transition using random motion of rectangles moving into place on an invisible grid. ActionScript, not timeline based.

All code explained at length, so it’s good tutorial material

You also get a free drag & drop preloader, volume slider and another loop :)

You can change the speed by changing the value of the variable “time”, and you can change the number of rectangles by changing the variables for columns and rows. No Brainers.

Final size will vary based on music and image size. The masking effect itself can be used on dynamically loaded content and is quite light itself.

Can the transitions just rotate on their own without clicking on them and be linkable?

With a few small modifications it can, yup

I am looking for a good transition which can be used to transition between dynamically loaded background images which correspond to navigation buttons (so the transition has to be able to be applied arbitrarily, as there is no way to predict which nav button a user will push); can this be used for that purpose? I can’t tell enough by just looking at the end product. I am an intermediate level AS2 /Flash developer, and can customize most things that I can understand.
