There’s something about a flipping masked transition that makes clients say “nice!” :)

The purpose of this file is to demonstrate how to create a nice and simple screen lines effect, and a cool looking mask transition flip effect, which can both be applied to images or section content in your projects, by resizing and/or changing the shapes in the mask clip.

NOTE : This is not a dynamic image gallery, it is a timeline based masked transition effect which could be applied to dynamically loaded images, if required, but that would require a bit more coding. This files shows how the mask works and how it is applied.

BONUSES : You also get a loop of mine included here free, to use in any of your flash projects, and a simple yet fully functional volume slider, which can be reused anywhere :)

Nope. This is just the effect movie clip, which can be dropped onto an xml gallery quite easily. :)

How do you set the values to stay on a image longer, and keep the transition effects the same? I would like at least 4 secs to stay on a image before transitioning.

Hey mfoisset, in this case you would just have to add frame inside the movie clip where the masked pics are, 120 frames between each pic would make 4 second intervals, as the fps is 30 I believe. feel free to email me if you would like further explanation.. thanks

Is there a way to make the little ‘strips’ that are rotating smaller in width so that it looks a lot closer and has a smoother spin? Thanks.

Sure chiarasv, it’s possible to delete the initial button, but then the code has to be changed around a little, so that the start function happens right away, instead of after you click on the button. Not too too complicated
