This is a 3D Cube with perspective fully done in ActionScript. You can easily change the speed of rotation, the color, the lines, the transparency, the perspective and a lot more.

You should make something similar with a 3d globe
@assive: Thanks mate, I think a 3D globe is a easy job to do, just a circle, but the hard part is the linear (radial) shadows, still than can be done with beginGardientFill() I think….I had already planned to do such a thing.

DaDog, it is a nice and smooth flash 3Dcube. I would buy it if there is a possibility to add jpg or swf file on the skinn of the 3Dcube ?

I’m sorry to say this but at least in this version that’s not possible
I’m working on that case, see it’s hard in flash to add perspective on a bitmap. Sorry

Nice cube but when it’s transparent 50%, why can’t we see the “hidden” faces ?

Because I didn’t meant to add transparency to the cube, so I didn’t need those back lines/sides. But at the end I just added alpha actually to the whole mc and I thought it’s nice…I’m planning to do such a thing in version 2!
are all the sides separate movieclips, or is it “just” a cube?

It’s just a cube…actually if they were mc’s I wouldn’t be able to add perspective.
Not too familiar with action script (yet) but, can I add static and or dynamic text to the sides? jpg, gifs?

Is this in AS2 or AS3 ? would you be able to make the sides navigation buttons?

This is AS2 version and with a little AS knowledge you can turn the sides in navigation buttons.
