3D ORBS

Alright, my first attempt at an animated 3D scene. Nothing special, but I like how it turned out so I am putting it here. Hopefully I will continue to learn, and you guys will see some more advanced stuff. But for the time being please enjoy this file.

Pretty much just an animated BG, would look nice with some other elements on top, and text. Has a techy feel to it (sorta). As always the preview file does not do this thing justice, it looks great full res. I did not include a help file, because all it would have said is use this as a background layer in one of your videos. So refer to that if you still need instructions lol. In the HD video you can see the reflection of the other balls inside each individual ball.

And thanks to Red I have decided to release this video in both HD and SD, so anyone wanting to will be able to use this with no limitations. The HD video is 1920×1080, and the SD res is 720×486.

Last thing…both videos are already encoded with the h.264 codec, and are flash video ready, thanks to Adobe’s new player, and video support!

Have fun!

Pure 1080! Awesome. Sooner of later we will all take advantages of it, quality, crisp, clean, no pixels etc. You can always resize it down. You cannot go from low-res to HD. I like reflections a lot. best, c

hey Garro, Maybe I can lend help here. H.264 is codec mainly for STREAMING (ex. Apple Trailers both SD/HD) or DELIVERING for web high quality content, with small sizes. Quality is outstanding.

I’m not use what codec most users are using here within their Quicktimes, but if you use compression: 100 (what xdosex and me do – you will have almost 1:1 original quality). Videos packed with PNG format as Quicktime, will be 100% uncompressed orignal quality containing ALPHA for example.

H.264 should be within FinalCut2 (but for editing you have to use Intermediate codecs Apple ProRes and others, to work with “uncompressed quality” footage), render it for WEB /STREAMING delivery as H.264.

Personaly, I highly recommend codec SheerVideo http://www.bitjazz.com/ (editing, mastering, visual effects) because is portable PC to MAC , MAC to PC, and has been quite famous around visual effects/editing industry, it is true UNCOMPRESSED quality-wise, with up to 4-5 times smaller then regular (TGA/PNG raw frames).

In the end, DO NOT use H.264 for editing, only if you want to upload/show TRAILER for web audience. cheers, red

sorry misspelled words: “I’m not use what codec most” should be -> “I don’t know what codec most”

Now my h.264 codec isnt working in After Effects lol, its telling me that there is some issue and it cannot find the writer. If this is the case, I may be out of commission for some time.

Hmm it sounds weird for sure, check this out (off Adobe website).

“With H.264 encoding already available in Adobe Premiere® Pro and Adobe After Effects® software, H.264 playback is now enabled in Adobe Flash Player, and will be supported by the Adobe Integrated Runtime (AIR) and applications developed with Adobe AIR â„¢ software”

Here’s solution to your ERROR message ””Could not load any writer. Adobe Media Encoder will now exit.”. http://forums.creativecow.net/readpost/2/922872

That’s indeed great for a first attempt ;)

Thanks guys!

@Red: Thanks for that, I was thinking about doing what that guy suggested anyway. Just rendering out uncompressed and encoding elsewhere.
