I bought the creative portfolio number 12840 and it’s great but I can’t figure out how to get the player to see the correct aspect of my video files. I can either play everything in 16×9 or 4×3 thus I have a big problem.

I would think I could duplicate the player and make one 4×3 and the other 16×9, but this is all XML driven and that’s new to me. Thus I have no idea how to do that.

Any help would be much appreciated. I’m more of a video guy than a flash guy. So I make videos not websites. Again my problem.

The person who wrote the file is away on vacation or something. Maybe I can purchase another player and integrate it into this file. I only have Flash 8 though. Can’t upgrade yet.

Thanks.

try this if you decide to use a different video area, this has support for both 4:3 and 16:9

give the description a read ;)

I appreciate it. It looks great. The only thing is it seems to big. Can this player be limited to 640×360 and play 400×300 as well?

Also, could I integrate this player into my project? And if so how? I’m not really good with action script. I would buy your player if I could figure out how to use it with my XML portfolio. The template I bought was from Flashden item 12840.

Also, I’m really a video/film guy, so if there’s any way I could trade video secrets for flash I would be willing to do so.

Thanks.

Check it out. Whatever size your video is, the player will adjust. Plus you can set a max width/height if you want (the video will stay proportionate to the original size, but it won’t be larger than the max that you set).
