I know there are multiple galleries out there, that pull in data from XML to show pictures, etc.
Is it possible to create a .fla/.swf file, that can play other .swf files, by using XML ? And for those .swf files to play until they’re done and then transfer to the next one?

So, basically, if I purchase one, I should just be able to change the XML code, to point to the .swf files, instead of image files, and it should work?
I’m familiar with XML , but just AS part is the part that might trouble me. Will I have to make any changes within the AS?

Actually you are talking about a gallery+slideshow not about gallery and I don’t think there is any slideshow file on flashden. One of my slideshow/gallery does support all types but it lacks the playing part of swf and then moving to next image, swf or flv file. But it does play images and flvs in slideshow mode.

The loaded SWF would need to communicate with the parent SWF . Unlike videos and music clips, there is no way for the parent SWF to know when the loaded SWF has finished playing. The loaded SWF will have to call some function in the parent SWF when it’s finished.
If the SWF are interactive (aka. variable length), you will very likely need to makes changes to the AS (not only in the main gallery, but in all the SWF ’s it’s loading).
If the SWF ’s are linear and non interactive, you could set it up so that the slideshow time is based on a variable you put into the XML file.

Thanks again for all the replies.
What if the timing was not a requirement. What if I set a timer in the AS for each one to run for a certain amount (just like a normal slideshow) and then just made the .swf files all around the same time.
Is that difficult to do? Could I purchase a gallery here and then just change the XML to pull in the .swf files instead of the image files, or would there need to be AS changes and everything?

I think you may be wrong. It looks like this guy made a swf slideshow
